"Molly and Tenbrooks" is also known as "The Racehorse Song."

This is a traditional song of the late 19th century.

One of the first recordings of the song was made by the Carver Boys.

The song was recorded by Bill Monroe and His Blue Grass Boys on October 28, 1947, but not released until 1949.

In 1948, The Stanley Brothers released the version we are hearing.
