00:00 I really think Tyrese Halliburton could become the best pacer ever.
00:03 I completely disagree.
00:04 Or, at the very least, I think it's just too soon to be having a conversation.
00:09 He's been in the league six years and only three of them he's been in Indiana.
00:13 Whereas Reggie Miller played his entire career with the Pacers, he's not even on pace to
00:17 be better than what Paul George was as a pacer because at least he got to the Eastern Conference
00:21 Finals.
00:22 I think Tyrese is great, but there's so much work he needs to have done before he's even
00:26 considered to be in the realm of that possibility.
00:30 First playoff success, and then sustained longevity.
00:33 Matter of fact, he hasn't even played a full 82 games since he's been there, so no.
00:39 You're not wrong.
00:40 He's got a lot of work to do to be the best Indiana pacer ever, or to prove he's even on
00:46 the same level of Reggie Miller as a playoff performer.
00:49 But he's still very young, and when it comes to just pure skills, Reggie, as great as he
00:54 was, was purely reliant on screens in many ways.
00:57 Tyrese is much more dangerous off the dribble, creating for himself, pulling up for threes,
01:02 and setting up teammates.
01:04 So if you look at Reggie's career profile, I think he averaged 18 points a game over
01:08 the course of his career.
01:10 The highest he ever was was third team All-NBA, which is a mark Halliburton could easily eclipse
01:15 maybe this season.
01:16 So yeah, it's a little bit getting ahead of oneself for me to make that proclamation here,
01:23 but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities, and you could easily argue
01:26 he's the most talented player to put on the uniform.
01:28 Yeah, I mean, I would still say maybe Paul George might be one of the more talented players
01:34 they've ever had.
01:35 I also think it's about moments.
01:36 Like, we saw Paul George go up against LeBron in the Eastern Conference Finals.
01:40 We saw Reggie do the choke sign with the Knicks.
01:42 So it's just like, if he could continue to improve as a player, and yes, he is young,
01:47 but also have those big moments, I think he has a possibility.
01:51 A small one, but a possibility nonetheless.
01:55 And I forgot how influential Paul George is with the youngins.
