Tougher penalties introduced for skippers who navigate under the influence

WA's boating laws are being updated for the first time in more than 40 years with skippers who navigate dangerously or under the influence of drugs and alcohol to face hefty fines and possible jail time. The changes come after new figures have revealed an increase in the number of on-water deaths in the state.
