North Korea's Spy Satellite Allegedly Captures Images of White House and Pentagon
  • 5 months ago
North Korea claims its new spy satellite took photos of the White House, Pentagon, and U.S. aircraft carriers at the naval base of Norfolk, which were reviewed by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Analysts say while North Korea likely has the capability to photograph large areas and warships from space, the usefulness of these images depends on their resolution and how many satellites North Korea can deploy for more frequent monitoring. North Korea has not publicly released any of the images it claims its new satellite captured. The U.S. and South Korea have condemned North Korea's satellite launch as violating UN bans on using ballistic missile technology.
