Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that the crowd at a South Carolina football game loved Donald Trump, despite footage showing some audibly booing him. Trump attended the rivalry game between South Carolina and Clemson on Saturday as a guest of South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster. Videos posted on social media show Trump being cheered but also being booed by segments of the crowd as his vehicle arrived. Greene dismissed the idea that anyone objected to Trump's presence, saying in an X post, "Trump is WINNING and the people love him!" Some digital billboards in Columbia ahead of the event directly welcomed Trump but said "You lost. You’re guilty." They were sponsored by a group called "League of Radical Leftists Vermin."
