Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet from Prague Czech Republic in NovI Sad

JWQ je akustični kvartet iz Praga koji svira originalnu muziku, kombinujući slobodnu improvizaciju sa komponovanim uticajima iz istorije džeza (Nju Orleans, soul džez, fri-džez...) kao i drugih žanrova (surf-rok, rege, savremena muzika, hevi metal, tango....).
Iza sebe imaju dva albuma.
Longtime lost playmates Štěpán Janoušek and Michal Wróblewski will meet again on stage at Jazz Dock to perform music from their album Svatby, a compilation of original compositions by Wróblewski and Janoušek. The pieces are eclectic, inspired by various genres (New Orleans, free jazz, hard bop, brass and surf rock). Based on what the musicians call “sound exploring,” the music of their album, Plesy, was composed by the entire quartet in real time. You can look forward to the jazz of these musical auteurs; progressive compositions and free jazz methods amalgamate in this tight and highly original group (sax; trb; b; dr).
