Malaysia set to introduce Asean cross-border permits starting January 1, says Anthony Loke

Malaysia will implement the Asean Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Goods in Transit (AFAFGIT) starting January 1, 2024, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

He announced this on Tuesday (Nov 21), adding that the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) will be issuing Asean Goods Vehicle Cross Border (AGVCB) permits to eligible logistics firms, allowing holders to cross land borders between Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Singapore using a single unified document.
