TCU MBB Beats Mississippi Valley State In A Blowout, 88-52

FORT WORTH -- The TCU Horned Frogs managed to take another win tonight against the Mississippi State Valley Delta Devils with a final score of 86-52, led by Emanual Miller with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Micah Peavy added 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. 

In the first half the Horned Frogs managed to gain a 15-point lead. They began picking up rhythm within the first 10 minutes and forced 12 turnovers from the Delta Devils in the first half of the game. 

TCU has struggled with turnovers their last three games but improved finishing with 10 total turnovers.  

Head Coach Jamie Dixon said there are still things to improve on as far as defense is concerned but offensively, he was pleased with the performance.

"Defensively we weren't quite as good as offense, but offensively we cut down turnovers, which was good." 

The Delta Devils having a total of 20 fouls including a technical foul from Head Coach George Ivory and MVS guard Dan Washington. TCU had a total of 16 fouls including a technical foul on Avery Anderson and Micah Peavy. 

The Delta Devils had two players in foul trouble in the second half with Rayquan Brown collecting three and Walter Hamilton with four.

Mississippi State Valley struggled to get score only putting up 26 points in the second half. TCU added 45 points to their final score and 43 of those off the fast break.

Emmanuel Miller said postgame that they need to continue to come out fiery and finish these games strong especially in the second half.

"Every second half we always come out on fire. We come out unselfish and we come out together". 

The Horned Frogs are now 4-0 and will face Alcorn State who are currently 1-3 on Tuesday night in the Schollmaier Arena, tip-off is at 7 p.m. and can be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
