SMU Dominates UNT, 45-21

SMU secured its sixth straight win in the American Athletic Conference, defeating the mean green North Texas 45-21 on Friday night.

SMU finished with 318 yards and had four running backs finish in the end zone. Preston Stone finished 11-of-20 passing for 234 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

Mustangs head coach Rhett Lashlee stated in the press conference, “all and all this is an excellent set of guys and our defense really came in clutch when they had us on our toes in the first half.”

SMU will hit the road on down Beal street next Saturday to take on the University of Memphis. Kick off is set for 11am CT.

NOTES:

Mustangs are 5-0 at home this season and has won 7 consecutive home games.

SMU is 6-0 in conference play this season and 11-3 in AAC games under Rhett Lashlee.

SMU had 552 yards of total offense (234 passing, 318 rushing).
