Israel has held a day of memorials to mark one month since an attack by Hamas militants killed more than 14-hundred people. Since then, Israeli troops have attacked Gaza via air, land and sea with Palestinian officials saying more than ten-thousand people have been killed. The World Health Organisation says there have been more than one hundred strikes on health facilities in Gaza and there are growing calls for an immediate ceasefire to help civilians escape.
