Adivasis of MP’s Mahakoshal region continue to face the lack of basic amenities such as piped water, while agriculture – the main source of livelihood - also suffers due to the absence of irrigation and other issues related to input costs, production and pricing.

Outlook’s Abhik Bhattacharya travelled to an interior village of the Amarwara constituency in the Chhindwara district to talk to locals – most of them from the Gond tribal community - about their major concerns ahead of the assembly elections.
