Police say incidents of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage on Bonfire Night has decreased for the third year running. A total of 71 incidents of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage were reported across Merseyside.

Two men have been hospitalised after a firework went off in a car in Kirkby on Sunday. Emergency services attended the incident, and following enquiries, it is believed that the firework went off accidentally. Both men sustained serious but not life threatening injuries to their face and hands.

Liverpool City Council's annual Remembrance Service will take place on Sunday, 12 November, on the plateau at St George's Hall. Thousands of people are expected to gather on Lime Street for the service. It involves faith and community leaders, together with the Armed Forces and war veterans.
