UK withdraws some diplomats from Lebanon over fears of wider Middle East conflict

The Foreign Office has announced that it has temporarily withdrawn staff from its embassy in Lebanon over fears that Israel's war against Hamas could widen into the region.This move comes after Israel conducted airstrikes along its border with Lebanon this weekend. According to local reports, airstrikes killed four civilians, including a woman and three childrenHezbollah, Lebanon’s strongest political and military force, has been attacking Israeli army posts since the 8th October.
