Deputies Harassing Motorists - February 5, 2023

Throughout the day on Sunday, February 5th, 2023, Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office deputies followed, ran license plates of, ran warrant checks on, and stopped (sometimes without calling in that they were making a stop) lots of motorists. One deputy was so eager to get out and harass people that he apparently skipped his morning coffee, which was pretty evident on the first stop when instead of simply saying "go ahead," he said "aight... I'm... I'm back."

At one point during the day he stopped a motorist for "no license plate" but, as with 98% of those "no plate" stops, the car had a temp tag in the back glass. At another point, he stopped a US Army vet just for driving in a particular area.
