Death of 3-year-old boy prompts calls for remote health system overhaul

The death of a three-year-old boy in the Northern Territory community of Ngukurr in March has prompted calls to overhaul remote health services. The community and the child's mother say the Indigenous health gap will never be closed without change. Remote area nurses have said they've seen dangerous staff shortages and inexperience in many isolated areas, and they're calling for a Royal Commission into preventable deaths in Indigenous communities.
