The Queensland bushfire crisis continues to escalate with more than 60 active fires burning across the state. While there has been reprieve today, the threat still remains in the southern region where firefighters continue to battle multiple blazes. Dozens of homes have been destroyed as storm activity and dry lightning has continued to add fuel to the flame. While there has been slight reprieve, the threat still remains in the west.
