PM: Malaysian rice imports under control, but Bernas may need further scrutiny

Rice imports in the country are under control and follow international market prices, said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
When asked to comment on Padiberas Nasional Berhad's (Bernas) alleged stronghold on rice imports on Friday (Oct 27), the Prime Minister said that he could not confirm the allegations but said talks with Bernas on the agreement may be needed.
