00:03 - I'm interested to hear the explanation
00:05 for your first winner, Donnie Wrightside.
00:08 - Like how do we judge winners and losers, Ben, in life?
00:11 Right?
00:12 Prosperity, financial success, wins and losses sometimes,
00:16 or is it just comfortability in your job
00:18 and everybody's happy with everything
00:20 and you don't have to expend too much energy here
00:22 worrying about the small things,
00:24 like actually winning a national championship
00:26 or a Big Ten here.
00:27 And my first winner of the week is James Franklin.
00:29 Donnie, that's ludicrous.
00:30 How could you do that?
00:31 Clearly one of the biggest losses this weekend
00:33 was taken by Penn State.
00:35 But what type of loss was taken by James Franklin?
00:37 He makes $10 million a year.
00:38 They get like a 30-year contract with Penn State.
00:41 It's called happy valley because they're happy
00:43 with mediocrity in Penn State here.
00:45 Take a look at James Franklin's record.
00:48 For his top five opponents, he's one in 12.
00:50 Versus the top 10, he's three in 16.
00:52 Versus the top 25, he's 13 and 24.
00:55 And you know what that gets him?
00:57 Another extension year after year.
00:59 So in the biggest moments coming up small,
01:02 you could still go home and say,
01:03 "Hey, hon, how's that bank account looking?"
01:06 "It looks really good."
01:07 "Hey, what happens if they fire me?"
01:09 It's gonna look even better.
01:10 The biggest winner of the week by far
01:12 is the wool that's pulled over the faces
01:14 of the Penn State public by James Franklin.
01:17 He makes a ton of money and does very little.
01:19 But wait, wait, wait.
01:20 The best part is they'll go 11 and two,
01:23 but win a meaningless New Year's bowl game.
01:25 And they'll be like, "My God, where would we be
01:27 "without James Franklin?"
01:28 The true winner of the week, Penn State's James Franklin.
