Friday prayers take place in Jerusalem under tight security

Israeli forces tightened security outside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem during the Friday prayers on Friday (Oct 20). The personnel blocked the Lion's Gate entrance to the Old City in Jerusalem, which leads to the mosque.

Palestinians unable to gain access to the mosque compound were seen praying outside the Old City on the pavements.
