Scotland prepares for severe storm

Northern Europe, including Scotland, is preparing for severe stormy weather, heavy rain, and gale-force winds. Scotland has been issued a rare red weather warning by the Met Office due to the risk of extensive flooding and threats to life from fast-flowing floodwater, with the storm named Babet expected to bring over a month's worth of rain in the hardest-hit areas. In Ireland, Babet has already caused flooding, power outages, and evacuations in some regions, such as Midleton in County Cork.
