00:00 >> Playing in another guy's game for you today,
00:04 playing up there, how are you feeling?
00:07 What was going right for you today to be so successful?
00:10 >> Man, Coach Tudor was telling us before, I mean, last night in the hotel and
00:14 then right before the game, make him remember your name.
00:17 And that's what just kept running through my head was I gotta make him remember my
00:20 name.
00:21 So I mean, every time I had a pass rush, I was like, I gotta win this rep.
00:24 And then, I mean, I was trying to fly around and make plays really.
00:26 >> [INAUDIBLE]
00:36 >> I was just asking him back then how many sacks he had, because I mean,
00:40 he was just flying around or getting out blocks and running tackles,
00:43 rallying around the ball.
00:44 So good overall effort by him and just showed the grit and
00:47 tenacity that he plays with.
00:48 And it's contagious as well, other guys feed off his energy and
00:52 him making plays and they all just being a bond and rallying to the ball.
00:56 >> AJ, you had another zeniac today, what's happened on that play?
01:01 What did you see?
01:03 >> So actually, I kind of seen him coming, but
01:05 then I thought the running backs gonna at least chip him with some.
01:08 So when he did come, I mean, I just thought I gotta make a play,
01:11 I gotta get out of this, can't take a sack right now.
01:13 We got momentum going, we driving the ball, I can't take a sack.
01:17 So in a seven to mark me and then get my eyes with his dumber lots of our keys who
01:21 was in the area and he got a lot of yards at the kitchen, which led to a touchdown.
01:26 So just being able to keep the play alive and
01:29 keep the drive going, keep the momentum on our side.
01:31 >> I see the ice pack, is that just precautionary?
01:34 >> Yeah, it is, it is, it is, it is, it is, yeah, nothing major,
01:37 nothing major happened, no.
01:38 >> What was the, what changed for the offense today?
01:41 It was really sluggish there, a little stretch in the game and
01:44 then a fourth quarter, y'all counted that callback.
01:46 What made some difference for you guys, finally?
01:50 >> I mean, our main thing, we wanted to be able to be in the game.
01:53 Come fourth quarter, that was our biggest thing and
01:55 we just had to rally around and just pump each other up.
01:58 Just encourage each other and just like, hey, we close, we just one play away,
02:03 one drive away or one touchdown.
02:04 We just kept that mindset and then once we took the field,
02:07 the defense got to start, we took the field.
02:09 Everybody just had that same mindset that, hey,
02:11 we're gonna drive the ball down and score and put pressure on them.
02:13 So that was the main thing.
02:14 >> And you guys gave a couple touchdowns in the first half,
02:18 winning the minimum stakes.
02:19 >> Yeah. >> 21 points in the first half,
02:21 but you guys come out a lot going in, a total of three points.
02:24 What was it a lot for you guys to not get that?
02:27 >> Yeah, we just, I mean, we couldn't single anybody out really.
02:32 I mean, it was just bad communication all around.
02:34 We just gotta, I mean, communicate more and not make those busts.
02:38 But I mean, we came out second half, played a phenomenal second half besides
02:42 the very end.
02:43 I mean, very end, we got to get the ball back for
02:45 offense whenever they're hot like that.
02:47 But I mean, overall, it was a pretty good second half.
02:49 But early on, we just gotta, I mean, communicate better and
02:52 make sure we're covering the right guys.
02:55 >> It's just been a brutal four game stretch all the way from home,
02:58 all S&C West team.
03:00 How do you think the locker room is feeling,
03:02 how are you guys feeling about where you are right now?
03:06 >> We all got the same mindset that enough is enough.
03:08 I mean, we're tired of feeling this way, we're tired of losing.
03:12 I mean, that's the main part, we're tired of feeling this way.
03:16 We wanna get back in the win column.
03:17 We wanna be able to come in the locker room and celebrate and
03:20 have fun, get back in the win column.
03:23 But it's also been lessons learned being on the road to this stretch that we're on,
03:29 and glad to be back at home next week.
03:31 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:41 >> Man, young guys stepping up.
03:42 Jordan Crook had a phenomenal week of practice.
03:44 He stepped up and said it's time for him to make plays, and
03:48 that's what he did today.
03:49 Same with Antonio Greer, he stepped in and made multiple plays.
03:53 And then the back end, our DBs played a great game today as well.
03:56 So I mean, really just wanted, I mean, it's next man up mentality.
04:00 You gotta be able to be ready to go whenever somebody goes down.
04:03 >> [INAUDIBLE]
04:13 >> We really just, I mean, studied the whole line.
04:16 I mean, I wouldn't say treated it any different than we'd have any other week.
04:20 But more so just myself personally really broke down the left tackle and
04:26 realized that I felt like I was capable to win a lot on the edge.
04:30 And I mean, I just took it out on the field from what I saw in the film.
04:34 >> [INAUDIBLE]
04:44 >> Keep fighting, you gotta keep fighting.
04:45 You can never bow down and just be okay with losing.
04:50 So I mean, it sucks.
04:53 I mean, I really thought we're gonna pull this one off today.
04:55 But I mean, we just gotta go back to work Monday and
04:57 just keep fighting and get the win next week.
04:59 >> I just keep fighting like Landon said.
05:01 I mean, that's the main thing.
05:02 Just keep fighting, make sure we stand together, make sure no outside noise come
05:06 in to the locker room and separate us.
05:07 So keep fighting, take it one day at a time, one play at a time, and
05:11 just keep fighting.
05:12 >> Y'all got stained in the ball a couple times.
05:16 Can you maybe talk about what kind of much spark you might add?
05:20 >> Just looking for a big play, just like you said, a spark.
05:23 Just getting the ball in his hands and let him take off, let him be natural,
05:27 do what he do best in this run and create explosive plays for us.
05:31 So that was the main thing, just being able to just flex him out and
05:34 try to get the ball quick as possible in his hands and let him go be Isaiah.
05:37 >> [INAUDIBLE]
05:47 >> Yeah, no, it's really exciting.
05:52 Get to play in front of people that love you.
05:54 So, I mean, it's great getting just to play in front of the fans,
05:59 play on your own field, be in the environment you're used to.
06:02 I mean, I'm excited for it and I think the whole team is.
06:05 >> Nah, I mean, he pretty much hit it on the head.
06:09 Just being able to get back home and play in front of our fans and
06:11 in our stadium.
06:12 >> [INAUDIBLE]
06:22 >> Yeah, I think we just had really good
06:24 rush lanes, not just me, but I mean, the interior guys play a phenomenal pass rush
06:30 game.
06:30 Tree, if you saw, I think it was two of the sacks that I had, that's because Tree
06:35 had a great rush lane, so no row had nowhere to run.
06:38 And I mean, I think our rush lanes are really great today.
