In a small village of Bihar lives Gandhiji, (50) with his wife and a son, Amar, (20). Gandhiji got his name after his modesty and humanity. He provides all facilities he could to make his son accomplish his dream of joining the army.
Amar is a hard-working boy. He rigorously works on his physical and written exam. Amar is observed and ill-talked by two non-working mid aged villagers, Mukhiyaji and Dayanand. These men are a failure in
their life and they wish other to fail. They carry a dual face and then bite at the very time.
Amar with his hard work passes his exams. While he waits for his joining letter, father Gandhiji fixes his marriage with Neelam, (18).
Neelam and Amar share their phone number and they starts talking on phone. Amar deeply falls in love with Neelam. They dream together and few days later, their marriage date is fixed.
But, the two spoilers wake up and badly misguide Amar in-laws at the date of marriage. The ignorant guardians of Neelam step back and cancel the marriage.
The modesty of Gandhiji and Amar becomes a reason of their heartbreak. But Neelam stands firmly against their guardians and tells them that she will only marry Amar or else she will remain single her entire life.
