The New York Times has been bombarded with threats from its readers they will cancel their $17-a-month subscription after its latest attack on the Queen in the wake of her death. The American news outlet has been branded “absolute ghouls” after it published a story noting British taxpayers would foot the bill for the monarch’s funeral, which will reportedly cost millions of pounds. The New York Times pointed out it was a “hefty price tag” while Britain tackled rising inflation.
