Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer insisted he was confident he could achieve the economic growth required for his plans to repair public services.He suggested reforms to skills training and the planning system would help boost economic performance.It was the “central mission” of an incoming Labour government to achieve greater growth.He told the BBC: “My confidence comes not from coming on here and simply asserting it this Sunday morning, but because of months and years of careful conversations with those that will be delivering this with us.”
