Khufiya (transl. Secret) is a 2023 Hindi-language spy thriller film written, produced and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is based on Amar Bhushan's espionage novel Escape to Nowhere. It stars Tabu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi. The film was released on 5 October 2023 on Netflix.
Krishna Mehra (Tabu) is an operative at the Research & Analysis Wing. She is assigned to track down the mole selling India's defense secrets, while grappling with her dual identity as a spy and lover.
Heena (Azmeri Haque Bandhon) is killed by Brigadier Mirza after he finds out there was poison in the perfume bottle she gifted him. KM and Jeev conclude that the mole who is Ravi (Ali Fazal) whose lavish lifestyle does not match his income. They suspect his wife Charu (Wamiqa Gabi) to be his partner is delivering secrets and get permission to bug his house.
After much perseverance, they find out how things operate. Meanwhile Ravi also sees the cameras in his house and tries to flee from there. Charu is shot in the process but survives as KM reaches there on time and gets her to the hospital.
When Charu recovers, she wants to get her son back and investigates to get to KM and begs to her to get her son back. KM trains her and sends her to find where Ravi and his family are living. She starts to blend in and make them believe she just wants to be with them.
