The Prince and Princess of Wales landed this morning in Belfast to carry out a number of engagements in Northern Ireland. This marks their first-ever official visit to the nation since Prince William was created Prince of Wales by his father King Charles III. As they were landing in Belfast, the royals' official Twitter account shared the enthusiasm of Kate and William ahead of the day of duties. The tweet read: "It’s wonderful to be back in Northern Ireland today!"
