Lightning rally held in support of Cagayan opposition to EDCA sites

Members of the Peace for Development (P4D) hold a lightning rally at the House of Representatives on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, in solidarity with Cagayanons and Gov. Manuel Mamba who are opposing the presence of Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) sites in the province. Maramba said the EDCA sites will only intensify the tension between the Philippines and China. The group also calls on the Congress to address its alleged politicizing of Mamba over his opposition and, instead focus on policies that would improve the livelihood of the Filipino people.
