Fetterman Trolls Impeachment Honcho James Comer With Case of Bud Light.
Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., on Thursday trolled Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chairman of the House Oversight Committee, by delivering him a case of Bud Light beer ahead of the first House hearing in the GOP effort to launch an impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden.
"This morning, I directed my staff to deliver a gift to congratulate and salute Representative Comer and his Team America™ squad as they embark on their historic impeachment journey," Fetterman posted.
The note attached to the beer case reads: "To Rep. Comer & his squad a profile in courage can make a guy thirsty. Congratulations, this Bud's for you. Hugs & kisses, John Fetterman."
Fetterman's choice in beer serves as a dig at Republicans after a number of conservatives were upset with the company choosing transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to represent them in advertisements. A number of Republicans spoke out against the ad campaign and said they were boycotting the popular beer brand as a result.
The impeachment inquiry into the president has received mass backlash from Democrats, including Fetterman, as there has not been evidence made public that the president was involved in any illegal activity related to his son's foreign business dealings.
