Speaking at the Grand Old Party's (GOP) second debate for its 2024 US presidential election, Indian-American multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur and Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy sparked yet another row by his remarks on ‘Transgenderism’. Ramaswamy described transgenderism as a form of “mental health disorder” as he staunchly opposed gender affirmation surgeries, especially for under 18-year-olds.
