Chess Champ to Piers Morgan: Your Fixation on Anal Beads Is ‘Concerning’.
Chess prodigy Hans Niemann was accused of cheating to win against Magnus Carlsen in September last year, but he’s once again denied the allegations as he prepares to return to chess.

Niemann, 20, was accused of hiding anal beads during his game against the current world number one in the high profile tournament $500,000 pot Sinquefield Cup. The American has again moved to clear his name as he reiterated he’s not guilty of the accusations in an interview with Piers Morgan.

The world of chess was stunned after Nieman unseated the Norwegian for the world to see, ending Carlsen’s 53-game unbeaten streak. And the curious tale looks to have been put to bed 12 months later after Carlsen, 32, and Niemann settled a $100million lawsuit filed by the American regarding the scandal just weeks ago.

Ahead of his return to the game, Niemann faced one last scrutinising from Morgan regarding the allegations he used vibrating anal beads control by his coach during the infamous match as he sat next to a tight lipped lawyer on ‘Piers Uncensored’. Morgan opened by asking Niemann his reaction to the cheating story that he was accused of.

Niemann replied: “Well, obviously, it was very disheartening, to be accused of cheating after that victory. But, you know, these things… it happened, and I learned a lot from that time.” Niemann later went on to “categorically” deny cheating and looked to become visibly frustrated with the questioning, replying: “Of course not,” to Morgan’s line of fire on the Norwegian’s place in the scandal.

The 20-year-old added: “It has really taught me a lot of important lessons about life and chess, and I think it's only strengthened my resolve.” Niemann stuck to his guns under fire from Morgan after he previously declared he would play naked to prove doubters wrong regarding the vibrating anal beads saga.

On August 28, Chess.com released a statement that Niemann would be reinstated to Chess.com, with no restrictions on his participation in the sites ranked online events. The statement said: “We are pleased to report that we have reached an agreement with Hans Niemann to put our differences behind us and move forward together without further litigation.

“At this time, Hans has been fully reinstated to Chess.com, and we look forward to his participation in our events. We would also like to reaffirm that we stand by the findings in our October 2022 public report regarding Hans, including that we found no determinative evidence that he has cheated in any in-person games. We all love chess and appreciate all of the passionate fans and community members who allow us to do what we do.”
