The cost of living crisis: What is the state of the bristol high street?
The cost of living crisis is a very real worry for the people of bristol. For many buisnesses, the rising costs have had a massive impact resulting in many closing. Since the announcement that Wilko’s will be closing, there has been much discussion on what locals want to see the stores replaced with. It was announced that B&M is to buy up to 51 stores in a deal worth £13million. However, B&M has not confirmed which Wilko shops it has bought, or if it will save any jobs. The stores are expected to be rebranded as B&M. But what would locals like?
