Protesters demand the abolition of the confidential, intelligence funds

Protesters from Bagong Alyansang Makabayan and other groups, troop to the House of Representatives (HOR) along Batasan Road in Quezon City, during the Congress hearing on the national budget on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

The protesters call for the abolition of the confidential and intelligence funds of the offices of the President and Vice President, as well as other government agencies, demanding the funds be reallocated to programs that benefit the poor and marginalized during economic hardships.
