Il Volo - album Il Volo 1974
  • 7 mesi fa
The group Il Volo was founded in 1974 as an evolution of the just dissolved Formula 3. All the musicians were already established musicians of the Italian prog rock scene coming from important backgrounds, a sort of supergroup that included Alberto Radius and Gabriele Lorenzi from Formula 3, Mauro Lavezzi from I Camaleonti and Flora, Fauna e Cemento, Vince Tempera from The Pleasure Machine, Bob Callero from Osage Tribe and Duello Madre and Gianni Dall'Aglio from I Ribelli. In addition to recording on their own the band collaborated to the studio recordings of a few Lucio Battisti's LPs,
The sound of the debut album blends a load of keyboards, with great guitar and bass interplays, marked symphonic feeling and grateful melodies and vocals harmonies.

Alberto Radius - acoustic guitar, electric guitar, sitar, vocals.
Mario Lavezzi - acoustic guitar, electric guitar, 12-strings guitar, mandolin, vocals.
Gabriele Lorenzi - Hammond organ, keyboards, synthesizer.
