00:00 Tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia have been simmering long before this latest violent
00:06 eruption.
00:07 Yerenu spoke to two high-level representatives on both sides for their perspectives on the
00:12 causes and consequences of the recent fighting.
00:19 What did Azerbaijan, they left all these commitments and they started military aggression against
00:27 the peaceful people of Nagorno-Karabakh, which they claim that they are their own citizens.
00:33 So right now, Azerbaijan bombing and killing their own citizens.
00:39 It was a limited operation as a result of which military infrastructure has been neutralized
00:43 to a greater extent.
00:45 And today, we are glad to say that military operations have been halted from Azerbaijan
00:51 side as well, while getting this message from Karabakh Armenians that they are disarming
00:58 their armed forces on the ground.
01:04 Azerbaijan made its intention very clear that if they disarm or decided to disarm, and Azerbaijan
01:10 is ready to halt this military engagement and to start immediate contacts with the Karabakh
01:17 Armenians that we have on multiple occasions invited to Yevlakh and some other cities of
01:22 Azerbaijan.
01:23 And yesterday, presidential administration of Azerbaijan made a twice statement, once
01:27 again reiterating and our invitation to them to have this kind of context about all elements
01:33 of reintegration.
01:34 Well, we had a very bad experience regarding having ceasefire with Azerbaijan.
01:41 I have no information because we have very bad connections with Nagorno-Karabakh.
01:47 There are different informations coming.
01:49 Now this is a new thing.
01:52 Maybe it's not new thing actually, but in this process, I mean, directly attacking villages
01:57 and the peaceful settlements of people, you know, to push them out from Nagorno-Karabakh.
02:09 During the draft, during the negotiations, we were negotiating rights and security guarantees
02:16 for Nagorno-Karabakh people.
02:18 What do you think?
02:19 Is this still actual topic?
02:22 Nagorno-Karabakh people are already lost their homes.
02:25 They are forced out.
02:27 What do you think?
02:28 Is this provision is actual now?
02:30 I don't know.
02:31 That's why I'm telling you.
02:32 I don't know what will happen.
02:34 We are supporting the peace agenda and we do think that sooner finalizing peace treaty
02:39 between two countries is better for the wider region.
02:42 Azerbaijan also supports the concept of the integrated region of those Caucasus.
02:47 And within that process, of course, in the court of Armenia, instead of searching and
02:51 seeking the territorial claims to the neighboring countries, Armenia should also seek a good
02:56 naval relation with neighboring countries.
