Introduced with Retro-Looking Hardbody Edition Package, New Nissan Frontier Hardbody Edition 2024

Inspired by the original Hardbody pickup truck introduced in the 1980s.

The original Nissan Hardbody was a rugged and reliable compact pickup truck, and Nissan is reviving its spirit with a contemporary twist. First introduced earlier this month, the 2024 Frontier Hardbody Edition package is based on the well-equipped Crew Cab SV 4x4 model and immediately stands out with its heritage-inspired design elements. These include three-spoke, retro-looking 17-inch alloy wheels that pay homage to the look of the original Hardbody, while off-road tires ensure this truck is ready for adventure. Aluminum skid plate, black upper fenders, black side rail, fenders and bed-mounted bar add to the rugged, vintage aesthetic.

For those who appreciate attention to detail, the Hardbody Edition package includes black-painted bumpers, mirrors, door handles and grille, giving a cohesive look throughout. The truck's front doors feature black graphics featuring a distinctive "4x4" logo and a tailgate graphic featuring a cut-out "Nissan" logo that replaces the typical Nissan tailgate emblem.

While the Hardbody Edition package embraces its retro roots, the 2024 Frontier also hosts a new SL grade for those looking for more comfort and convenience. Replacing the SV Premium Package, this grade offers a host of premium features such as LED headlights, fog lights, daytime running lights and interior lighting for better visibility. Leather-trimmed seating, heated front seats and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel add a touch of luxury to the driving experience.

No changes are seen under the hood, where the 2024 Frontier continues to be powered by a 310-horsepower, 3.8-liter direct-injection V6 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Combined with a fully boxed ladder chassis, this powertrain provides up to 6,640 pounds of towing capacity, while an electronic, on-the-fly shift system makes it easy to switch between all models' 2WD, 4HI and 4LO modes. wheel drive system. When it comes to safety, the 2024 Frontier now offers Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection as standard on all grades.

The 2024 Nissan Frontier, including the exciting Hardbody Edition and the comfort-focused SL grade, will launch at a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $29,770.
