CSIRO confirms Australians do not eat balanced diet
  • 7 months ago
The CSIRO has quantified what many people already know Australians are struggling to achieve a balanced diet. It has surveyed almost a quarter of a million people about what they eat, and results show an average diet score of 55 out of 100. That's well below what is considered a healthy level of 70 points. Only 20 per cent of adults are eating enough vegetables and 40 per cent are eating more than three different vegetables in their main meal. Those working within the construction industry were found to have the poorest diet.
