00:00 Joe Jonas is speaking out.
00:05 On Saturday, Joe joined his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas, on stage for their Jonas
00:09 Brothers concert at Dodger Stadium.
00:12 Before the singers sang their hit song "Hesitate," which is believed to be a love song about
00:17 Sophie Turner, Joe addressed their recent breakup and all the rumors surrounding their
00:22 split.
00:23 The
00:45 gig by the Ocean singer filed for divorce from his wife of four years on Tuesday, Access
00:49 Hollywood confirmed.
00:50 Joe and the Game of Thrones alum tied the knot in 2019 and they shared two daughters
00:55 together.
00:56 Access Hollywood spoke to Joe in September 2022, just weeks after their youngest was
01:01 born, and he shared how parenthood has impacted him.
01:05 "Congratulations to baby number two.
01:22 I work harder to take more time off in my life now, I wanna be able to be very present.
01:42 And even at home, I think the biggest change is like, even small things that I could do,
01:43 I've deleted social media pretty much off my phone and I'll re-download it if I wanna
01:44 post something or re-delete it.
01:45 And still use it, but I'm able to be like present at home and be present when I'm around
01:47 my friends and family, most importantly.
01:50 I really love that and those small little things go a long way.
01:55 And if I'm at home and doing Zooms, I try to do it during a window where it's just me
01:59 time and so it's quite nice and so it's changed me a lot.
02:04 I think it's made me for the better.
02:07 And ultimately, as a bandmate, you're a little bit more emotional with these songs that you're
02:13 writing and the things you're going through, the stories you're telling and you wanna share
02:17 and the relations that you have around you.
02:19 Aw, that's really sweet.
02:21 Please tell me you sing lullabies and you're doing that.
02:25 Yeah, my lullabies CD will come out soon.
02:28 I love it.
02:29 I just said CD.
02:30 Ugh.
02:31 Yeah, I'm about your age so I would say the same.
02:35 You and your brothers, I hear, are back in the studio making some new music.
02:41 We are.
02:42 What can you share?
02:43 I can't share too much.
02:44 I always feel, unfortunately, like I have the worst answers.
02:48 I can share that it's taking time because it needs to and I think we're in no rush.
02:56 We're playing a lot of shows and that's what's going on currently.
02:59 So we just got back from Mexico.
03:01 I never had the time to just go explore Mexico City.
03:05 The fans there are so passionate, which is thrilling, but there's this element where
03:09 you can't really go outside and they'll follow you to every place you go.
03:15 I think maybe because they're a little older and they've grown up with us, they're more
03:18 excited to see us out doing things that make them proud of their city.
03:22 So in Mexico City, I was just blown away by the food, the culture.
03:28 I went to this incredible coffee shop that I went to every single day.
03:32 And so it was one of my favorite trips.
03:35 We've got more shows coming up and we're playing Global Citizens here in New York.
03:39 Oh, I'll be there.
03:40 Oh, great.
03:41 We'll see you there.
03:42 That's exciting.
03:43 Yeah.
03:44 We're playing Global Citizen and we're going to be doing some more Vegas shows as well.
03:46 I love that.
03:47 Busy year that's left.
03:49 Very busy.
03:50 What is it like for you guys making music now together?
03:52 Obviously, you've grown so much in the industry creating music.
03:57 Now you guys are all expanding your families.
03:59 You have wives.
04:00 You have, you know, it's different.
04:02 So what is the creation of the music like now?
04:05 Where does your inspiration come from?
04:09 We all have our own bigger lives now.
04:14 And we love to watch each other grow as people and have a bit more of an understanding of
04:20 what they've gone through.
04:23 We don't throw around advice for each other because we are so different.
04:26 We all live in different parts of the U.S.
04:30 We also have different gigs on the side.
04:31 And so bringing our different energies together to create music, it is beautiful.
04:37 Or share the stage even.
04:38 Like how do we bring our best to the platform?
04:42 And I feel like we've been able to really grow as individuals, which makes us stronger
04:46 together.
04:58 (upbeat music)
