Anwar tables 12MP mid-term review, reveals extra RM15bil allocation

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has tabled the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) Mid-Term Review in the Dewan Rakyat here on Monday (Sept 11).

While tabling the motion, Anwar said a total of RM400bil was allocated for the 12th MP.

However, Anwar said a further RM15bil will be added, bringing the total allocation for the government’s five-year development plan to RM415bil.

00:00 [President of the Parliament] "Mr. Speaker, the current status of RMK-12, which was passed in Parliament on 21 October 2021, which includes three themes, four basic factors, and 14 changes.
00:19 The GDP has shown a negative 5.5% in 2020, but it has started to recover by recording a growth of 33% in 2021.
00:34 In the first two years of RMK-12, which is 2021 to 2022, the country recorded a growth of 59% from a very low previous base.
00:51 As much as 31% of the 175 targets set have been achieved and 59% are in accordance with the schedule.
01:05 RMK-12 has allocated Rp 400 billion to finance a new and sustainable development project for five years.
