00:00 But what do you see as your responsibility in helping to develop him?
00:03 I'm Robert Ludberg, joined now by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who is joining Lowe's
00:08 home team to inspire football fans to take on a home improvement project with the do-it-yourself
00:15 wrist coach.
00:16 And I really want to get into that because I've tried to do a lot of stuff myself around
00:19 the house as of late, Dak.
00:20 But you've done plenty of things yourself as well in your NFL career.
00:25 Your team averages 30 points a game since 2019 with you under center.
00:29 You've won about twice as many games as you've lost.
00:32 Do you think you get your proper respect?
00:35 You know, for me it's about going and winning more.
00:37 I'm not necessarily trying to count the respect that I've gotten.
00:41 It's about just, I'm always shooting for perfection and trying to get better.
00:45 And so that's what I'm going to continue to do.
00:46 I did see recently, Trey Lance had said you welcomed him to the team with open arms.
00:52 What do you see as your relationship?
00:54 You know, you're trying to get better yourself, but what do you see as your responsibility
00:57 in helping you develop him?
00:59 Yeah, I'm just always trying to help everyone to be honest with you.
01:03 That's just who I am.
01:04 Being a selfless person, I believe if you make others around you better, you'll be better.
01:09 The strength is in the numbers.
01:10 And so I'm just trying to welcome in Trey, make sure that he gets better, picks up this
01:14 offense and just improve.
01:17 No difference than what I'm doing here today and trying to help people improve their home
01:21 by getting with Lowe's and dialing in on this DIY wristband project.
01:28 So the other day I saw you come in with Zeke's Ohio State jersey.
01:32 What's it like not having him in the locker room?
01:34 Yeah, I mean, it's different to say the least.
01:37 Zeke's a hell of a teammate.
01:38 I know he's offering a lot to the Patriots organization, to those teammates he has there.
01:43 Just wishing for his success.
01:44 He's a brother to me.
01:45 It goes well beyond the football field.
01:47 So I just always pulling for him.
01:49 As far as other guys you're pulling for, I saw you talk about Will Greer and being tough
01:54 to lose him.
01:55 What about Cooper Rush?
01:57 I'm sure you're getting asked a lot about Trey Lance.
01:59 What's the dynamic like with Rush in that QB room?
02:03 How do you see the dynamics of that QB room?
02:05 Cooper's great.
02:06 We're all just trying to make each other better.
02:08 Got a lot of quarterbacks in our room from Scott Tolzien to Brian Schottenhamer.
02:12 I got a lot of guys that play this position.
02:14 So we're just all just trying to improve each other's game and knowing that improves the
02:17 team overall.
02:18 You're talking about the improvement.
02:19 One of the things that obviously we're here to talk about is the DIY home improvement
02:25 wristwatch.
02:26 Can you tell us a little bit about what you're doing with Lowe's and how fans can get a hold
02:30 of one of those?
02:31 Yes.
02:32 As I said, I'm here to inspire people to tackle more projects, home projects, by getting to
02:39 the Lowe's.
02:40 I'm no Lowe's pro.
02:41 I'm a pro athlete.
02:42 So Lowe's has created these DIY wrist coaches and they'll be available in store September
02:48 7th.
02:49 Limited time, but they are for free.
02:51 So what you're able to go in there and do is just learn how to really perfect the project
02:55 you're at.
02:56 Mine is painting an accent wall.
02:58 So just happy and proud to be a part of Lowe's and able to encourage others to go in, make
03:03 sure they're improving their home with the best company.
03:06 The project you have ahead of you this season, of course, no team has won the NFC East back
03:10 to back since 2004.
03:11 Can you guarantee the Eagles won't be doing that this year?
03:14 I'm not a fan of guarantees, but I can guarantee that we're going to put ourselves in the best
03:19 position to make sure that we're getting back to the top of the NFC East and not just the
03:23 NFC East, but the whole conference and trying to win it all.
03:27 That's the goal here when you play for the Dallas Cowboys.
03:29 Do you think this is your best chance to go to the Super Bowl and win it with the Cowboys?
03:33 I do think this is our best chance.
03:34 I've definitely been the best team that I've been a part of just where we are, knowing
03:38 that we're better than we were last year and the year before, just growing off of two 12
03:42 win seasons and just trying to continue to stack and put some playoff wins together and
03:47 get to where we want to be.
03:48 Is it Super Bowl or bust in your mind?
03:50 Is that how you're approaching it?
03:51 Anytime you play for this organization, that's how you have to approach it.
03:54 High expectations creates great results.
03:57 So that's how we've approached the whole offseason, approaching training camp and will continue
04:01 to approach each and every day that we get better as a team.
04:04 Well, Dak, appreciate the time.
04:05 Good luck this season and good luck with what you're doing with Lowe's and the home improvement
04:09 project.
