Canada makes first FIBA World Cup semis

RJ Barrett says any player from the Canadian men's basketball team can be a key to their victory.

Against Slovenia in the quarterfinals at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, four players from Canada scored in double digits as they hacked out a 100-89 win to make their first FIBA Basketball World Cup semifinals stint. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 31 points and 10 rebounds followed by Barret who had 24 makers and nine boards. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Dillon Brooks chipped in 14 points each in the triumph.
