Greece partners with Israel on AI for rapid wildfire detection.


Greece partners with Israel to develop AI for early wildfire detection, as announced by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis following talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in Nicosia. Mitsotakis also suggested involving Israel in EU civil protection initiatives to enhance firefighting coordination. Israel and Cyprus have sent firefighting teams and aircraft to assist Greece in combating recent devastating wildfires.
