Jeremy Vine calls for motorists to make room for cyclists on city roads - Mancunians share their thoughts
  • 8 months ago
TV star Jeremy Vine has called for a change in the urban traffic system and has said the overtaking of bicycles by cars in big cities should be banned.

The popular TV personality says the decrease in speed limits in towns and cities has reached a point where it's more practical for motorists to may way for cyclists.

Vine - who is an avid cyclist - also proposed that drivers pull over to allow cyclists to pass if they see them in their rear-view mirrors.

We asked people in Manchester to find out their thoughts on slowing down for cyclists.
