Hilarious Moment Daniil Medvedev was Furious Thursday with Fans During a Spat at the US Open

A tetchy Daniil Medvedev became embroiled in a spat with supporters during his US Open win over Christopher O'Connell, appearing to tell them to 'shut up' and ask: 'Are you stupid or what?'
The Russian No 3 seed overcame O'Connell late Thursday night, in a match which ended after 1am in New York.
'Can you shut up?' the 2021 US Open champion asked. 'Are you stupid or what?'
He appeared to be angered by a couple of fans who were walking to their seats as he lined up a serve. One of the female fans blew Medvedev a kiss in response.
Not for the first time in these parts, Medvedev's anger led to boos at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

Medvedev's frustration, not just with the crowd but with himself, was painfully obvious despite his eventual victory.
Leading 4-2 in the third, he soon slipped back to 4-4, before coughing up a 5-2 lead in a tiebreak and double-faulting on match point at 6-5.
Then, down set point in the third at 7-6, he double-faulted again.
Even after sealing victory, Medvedev was less than impressed at someone in the crowd, gesturing animatedly as well as having a few choice words as he walked off.
His latest row evokes memories of 2019 when Medvedev endured what was close to two hours of incessant booing in a match against Feliciano Lopez.
Lopez had almost all of the support and fans loudly cheered every one of his errors that night before he exploded into life and won.
'I want all of you to know, when you go to sleep at night, I won because of you,' he fired back at his critics that night.
'The energy you're giving me right now, guys, I think it will be enough for my five next matches. The more you do this, the more I will win, for you guys.'
