Rail strikes: ASLEF boss ‘in this for the long haul’
  • 8 months ago
ASLEF General Secretary Mick Whelan has warned the government his members do not intend to back down in the ongoing dispute over pay and conditions, saying workers will not “give everything up for nothing”.

Speaking at the Euston Station picket line, he said: “We’re in this for the long haul and [the government] should know by now that after 14 months we’re going to be here until we get a resolution and a cost of living pay rise for the people I represent.” Report by Buseld.
