The Model X Plaid does lower the front suspension when the Drag Strip mode is active for the best aerodynamics. The Model X Plaid finally accelerates like a hypercar, reaching 60 mph in about 2.7 seconds. The Autobahn does not have a prepared surface like a drag strip, thus it may have traveled faster. The Model X Plaid also picks up speed very quickly and completes the quarter-mile in 10 seconds flat. It took 5.49 seconds to get to 130 mph from 60 mph. However, it is impossible to deny the reality that, while being ridiculously speedy, the Model X Plaid is not that quick. This large, bloated SUV has a top speed of 168 mph, which is respectable given that EVs aren't particularly fast.
