Congress leader Aziz Qureshi courted controversy after he said some leaders of the party talked about religious tours and being ‘proud Hindus’. He also said that there was no problem if one or two crores out of 22 crore Muslims die. Qureshi alleged that such people raising slogans like 'Jai Ganga Maiya' and 'Jai Narmada Maiya' was a matter of great shame. He did not express regret for his remarks and challenged the party to remove him.
