An urgent rescue operation is underway in Pakistan's northwest region after a chairlift carrying six children and two adults snapped one of its cables, leaving them stranded at 900 feet over a mountainous area. The incident occurred as the children attended school in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. A surveillance helicopter initially reached the scene, followed by a larger helicopter to facilitate the rescue. Some trapped children are reportedly slipping in and out of consciousness, with limited access to essentials like drinking water. The rescue personnel are administering medication for nausea and heart-related issues.
