FOXBORO, MA -- Following a pair of joint practices and a preseason game against the Packers in Green Bay, the Patriots were back on their home practice field. In this session, the team chose to practice in shorts and shells, forgoing the pads. Mike Gesicki, Pierre Strong, and Ty Montgomery marked their return to the field. Gesicki and Strong were in red non-contact jerseys, while Montgomery made his debut since the first week of camp. After engaging in warm-ups, Demario Douglas sat out the session, and Keion White exited during practice after a brief stint in team drills.

Kayshon Boutte, after a subdued start at camp, has consistently shown promise, suggesting that New England may find it challenging to simply allocate him to the practice squad.
