North Korean International Flight Lands in China for First Time Since COVID

Air Koryo, North Korea's national carrier, has resumed its international commercial flights after a hiatus due to COVID-19. Flight JS151 from Pyongyang landed in Beijing, marking the first known international commercial flight departing North Korea since the country closed its borders in January 2020 to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Chinese authorities approved the resumption of Air Koryo's flights to China in alignment with changes in their COVID-19 travel restrictions. Flights between North Korea and Russia are also set to restart, connecting Pyongyang and Vladivostok.
