Basin plan revived with controversial water buybacks

It's being hailed an "historic" agreement to re-write Australia’s 13-billion-dollar Murray-Darling Basin plan that revives controversial water buybacks. The new deal buys more time to deliver key infrastructure projects and will also see more water bought back from farmers. The water minister says delivering on the plan is key with a country that's growing hotter and drier, but Victoria has refused to agree.
